HISTORY

2024 UNITE! Generations was held on October 13, 2024, 6:30 PM at Trinity Assembly of God in Fairmont, WV. Approximately 780 people, representing 10 area churches, united as one to pray against barriers that divide us, and to pray for and bless the coming generation!
Drawing from Psalms 145:4 "One generation will declare your works to the next..." and the book The Blessing by Gary Smalley and John Trent, the event concluded with older believers (age 31+) praying a Generational Blessing on those 30 and under who were present. It was a memorable moment as the Holy Spirit ministered both ways to young and old alike!
Ten next-generation ministries were also invited to set up informational tables: Young Life, Youth Commission International (YCI), Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU), Chi Alpha College Ministry, Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), Center of Hope, Chestnut Mountain Boys Ranch, Middle College, and Marion Pregnancy Resource Center. The offering of approximately $5,000 was equally divided among these groups as a special blessing to support their causes.

The First UNITE! was held on October 8, 2023, 6:30 PM, at Covenant Church in Fairmont. Approximately 600 people from 7 area churches gathered to worship together and to pray against Spiritual Strongholds in Marion County: Abuse, Addiction, Corruption, Family & Marriage, Generational Curses, Poverty, Racism, and Religious Spirit - - asking God to tear down these hindrances in our communities so that souls are won for Christ and lives are changed. The Holy Spirit's presence was powerful; gatherers remained a long time after the service to fellowship with one another in unity.
Donations of canned goods and clothing were received at the door. As a result, 1,200 pounds of canned fruit and vegetables and 200 items of men's undergarments were received for use at Union Rescue Mission, the local homeless shelter ministry. In addition, an offering of approximately $5,000 was given to Children's Rescue Initiative, a sex-trafficking ministry that removes children and women from such abuse in foreign countries.
